Tamires Maira Oliveira (Visiting Graduate Student - Ph.D. Thesis)

Tamires is a Ph.D. student at UNICAMP, Campinas in the research group of Prof. Paulo Cesar de Sousa Filho. In December 2025, she was brave enough to move from Brazil to cold Canada for a 6 months visit in our lab, where she will study lanthanide-based hyperparticles.

Riccardo Speghini (Graduate Student - Ph.D. Thesis)

Riccardo became a Ph.D. candidate at the lab in fall 2025. Before joining us, he obtained a Masters in engineering from the University of Padua. He is combining his expertise in microfluidic devices with our lanthanide-based nanoparticles to study lanthanide photo-physics and develop novel sensors..
